Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) voting members have elected Joseph Mills, MD, of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, as their next vice president.
He now joins a line of succession that includes the new SVS President Ali AbuRahma, MD, and President-elect Michael C. Dalsing, MD.
The election result was announced at the first Virtual Annual Business Meeting on June 16, during which AbuRahma succeeded Ronald L. Dalman, MD, as SVS president.
Mills is the chief of the division of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy Baylor. He was previously professor and chief of vascular surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (1994–2015) and co-director of the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA).
