Learn how the SVS’ peer-reviewed journals, including the flagship Journal of Vascular Surgery (JVS), have evolved over the years at “Evolution and transformation of the Journal of Vascular Surgery journals.” The concurrent session will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, SDCC, Room 2.
Over time, three other journals joined JVS. They are JVS: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders; JVS Cases and JVS-Vascular Science.
Topics will include the current status of the publication and a look to the future, in terms of future directions of medical publishing; COVID-19 and vascular disease in the JVS; diversity, equity and inclusion issues; why JVS publishes so many registry papers and why editors added the new Vascular Science publication.
Moderators include Peter Lawrence, MD, senior editor of JVS journals; and Cynthia Shortell, MD, associate editor of JVS.
