Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) is pleased to introduce the first Comprehensive Vascular Review Course. This educational activity is an intensive two-day vascular surgery review course designed to help vascular surgeons prepare for recertification examinations. William D. Jordan, Jr., MD and Cynthia K. Shortell, MD are the course directors.

“This course can be used as a “refresher” for the practicing surgeon to review some uncommon vascular conditions that are not commonly encountered in a practice,” Dr. Shortell said. “While there is standard review of many basic vascular principles and conditions, the unusual will also be covered.”

The faculty consists of vascular surgeons with extensive expertise in their respective fields. The course will include didactic lectures, multiple choice question modules and panel for questions and answers.

Attendees will receive a complimentary textbook on clinical vascular surgery and a question and answer book to enhance knowledge and understanding of the course topics.

“[This course was created] to provide the practicing vascular surgeon a comprehensive intensive review to help prepare for all aspects of care including areas that might not be encountered in a standard vascular practice” Dr. Jordan said. He added that a benefit to attending the course is interacting with colleagues from around the world and posing questions to expert faculty.
