The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) is seeking volunteers to serve on a task force focused on population health.
Applications are due by Oct. 8.
The Society has identified a need to explore the strategic role of vascular surgery in achieving patient-focused, value-based multidisciplinary delivery systems that address vascular population health.
Those who sit on the SVS Population Health Task Force can expect to participate in monthly conference calls, examine SVS member focus group/survey data, assist in drafting a strategic blueprint for vascular population health initiatives and more.
In addition, the task force will develop a draft strategic blueprint for vascular population health programs and initiatives with the SVS Clinical Practice Council and external population health experts.
Areas to be explored include vascular health disparities across demographics like age, ethnicity, gender and geography (urban/rural); value-based care models encompassing vascular health issues across populations; and exploration of multispecialty consensus and engagement on a national scale.
Applications can be submitted—complete with a curriculum vitae and biographical sketch—to Nadine Caputo at [email protected]. For more information, visit vascular.org.
