The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) has launched an Annual Physician Member Census aimed at capturing current issues of importance and the changing demographics of the membership body.
The inaugural survey, due by Dec. 14, comes as the SVS places greater focus on ensuring inclusion and opportunity for all of its members. Going forward, the Society will conduct the census every year after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Information gleaned from the survey—estimated to take 10–15 minutes for members to complete—will have an impact on appointments to Society committees and task forces, the SVS said.
A second survey, the Clinical Practice Survey, which will be focused on more granular practice characteristics, is due to be sent to members in February 2021.
“Once you have completed your own survey, feel free to urge your fellow members to do the same,” the SVS told members. “The higher the response rate, the greater the level of confidence in the conclusions.”
More information on completing the census is available here.
