The Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) Vascular Annual Meeting® has long been a leading source of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.

For the first time, the VAM Self-Assessment Program (VAMSAP) allowed attendees of the 2012 Vascular Annual Meeting to earn self-assessment credits toward Part 2 of the American Board of Surgery’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirement.

Of the 30.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM attendees could earn at the 2012 Vascular Annual Meeting, up to 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM can count toward Part 2 of the ABS MOC Program. For attendance at three modules of the Postgraduate Courses, a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM can go toward Part 2 of the ABS MOC Program.

To obtain a 2012 CME certificate, log into the SVS Certificate System through the website: www.VascularWeb.org. Non-physician attendees can obtain a Certificate of Attendance through the online SVS Certificate System. A username and password are necessary to access the systems. CME credit for the 2012 Vascular Annual Meeting must be claimed by March 1, 2013. The deadline to claim self-assessment credits is December 30, 2012.

SVS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (CME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
