The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) has shifted the 2021 iteration of its flagship conference, the Vascular Annual Meeting (VAM), to August in a bid to increase the likelihood of an in-person event.
The meeting was originally scheduled to take place June 2 to 5 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, but will now run from Aug. 18 to 21.
This also means the abstract submission deadline has been extended to 3 p.m. (CST) on Feb. 17.
“This submission extension will give hopeful VAM presenters extra time to work on their research,” the SVS said.
“Many details remain to be worked out, and our VAM web pages, abstract submission site and logos will still include the June dates until new ones are designed. But make no mistake: VAM 2021 is on the move!”
