Paper on EVAR for large AAAs named 2020 poster winner

Livia de Guerre, MD, of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston has been named winner of this year’s poster contest. This year’s contest was held virtually as part of SVS ONLINE: “New Advances and Discoveries in Vascular Surgery.”

She will present her work, “EVAR [endovascular aneurysm repair] for large abdominal aortic aneurysms is associated with higher late reinterventions, ruptures and mortality” as part of Scientific Session 9 on Thursday, July 2. The presentation time is 7:19 p.m. CDT.

Co-authors are Kirsten Dansey, MD, research fellow Chun Li, MD, and Jinny J. Lu, MD, all of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston; Joost van Herwaarden, MD, University Medical Center Utrecht, Utrecht Netherlands; and Douglas W. Jones, MD, Boston University School of Medicine; Philip P. Goodney, MD, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire; and Mark L. Schermerhorn, MD, chief of the division of vascular and endovascular surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
