The next SVS Town Hall will deal with vascular practice’s path forward from the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event is intended to help vascular surgeons learn about the virus and its ongoing impact on vascular surgery. Taking place April 29, the latest edition of the Town Hall series, dubbed “COVID 2.0—A Pathway Forward,” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Central Daylight Time.

Topics to be covered include financial and practice recovery in a community setting, with Robert Molnar, MD a vascular surgeon at Michigan Vascular Center in Flint, Michigan; financial and practice recovery in an academic setting, with Clayton Brinster, MD, and W. Charles Sternbergh III, MD, of Ochsner Health in New Orleans; leveraging telemedicine in the post-vaccine era, with Chelsea Dorsey, MD, a vascular surgeon at the University of Chicago; and the lost year in education and training with Linda Harris, MD, from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo in New York.

Co-moderators will be Kim Hodgson, MD, SVS immediate past president, and William Shutze, MD, chair of the SVS Clinical Council.
