The SVS Wellness Task Force today announced a final push for respondents to the Society’s COVID-19 needs assessment survey. The initiative, designed to help better understand the concerns and needs of vascular surgeons amid the coronavirus pandemic, closes tomorrow (April 24).

The survey, in which participants take part anonymously, is open to both veteran and trainee surgeons. It aims to enhance support for vascular practitioners both in the thick of the current practice environment and what comes once COVID-19 begins to subside.

The survey bears the hard cut-off date because of the time-sensitive nature of the questions, the Wellness Task Force said.

Task Force members encourage all vascular surgeons to participate in order that maximum benefits be extracted from the results. “If you have not added your voice, this is your chance,” said Sherene Shalhub, MD, associate professor of surgery in the division of vascular surgery, the department of surgery, at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle.

The survey—available until 9 p.m. Eastern time tomorrow—is here.
