Registration has opened for the 2020 iteration of the Society for Vascular Surgery’s Coding and Reimbursement Workshop scheduled to take place from Sept. 25–26.

Though it remains scheduled as a live event at the Hyatt Rosemont Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, the SVS is considering adjusting delivery to include a virtual component if local or national restrictions on live gatherings are in effect in September.

“The Society will continue to monitor the changing environment, plus health and safety recommendations and mandates at the state and national levels, while maintaining its commitment to deliver the highest-quality education and information on this vital topic,” the SVS said.

The workshop will cover a range of coding and reimbursement updates, including changes to endovascular stent placement outside the lower extremity and Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), as well as coding for intravascular embolization and retrograde intrathoracic carotid stenting.

Program faculty include Sean P. Roddy, MD, professor of surgery at Albany Medical College and chief of vascular surgery at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York, and Teri Romano, BSN, of Karen Zupko & Associates, who is a speaker and consultant in coding and reimbursement.

Questions will be fielded by the SVS Education Department: [email protected]. Precise times are Friday, Sept. 25, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., both CDT. Registration is available here.
